该科是青岛市重点学科，擅长泌尿系肿瘤、结石、前列腺疾病、肾上腺疾病、男科病及疑难杂病的诊治，在膀胱重建与尿流改道和前列腺疾病的治疗方面形成了独具特色的系列治疗方案，达国际先进水平；腹腔镜、尿动力学检查、经尿道电切新技术、前列腺增生的治疗、泌尿系统先天性畸形和泌尿系结石的诊治达国内先进水平；是青岛市早期开展肾移植手术的科室之一。
学科带头人周荣祥，主任医师、教授、硕士研究生导师、青岛市卫生局专业技术拔尖人才、青岛市优秀临床医学专家。在泌尿系肿瘤、结石，前列腺、肾上腺疾病，泌尿系统先天性畸形，肾移植，男性不育及性功能障碍的治疗方面有较深的造诣，尤其前列腺疾病的治疗和尿流重建手术已形成特色。创研的“环扎血管前列腺切除术”和“球形可控回肠贮尿袋代膀胱术”达国际先进水平，并被推广应用。
Being a key specialty clinic in Qingdao for diagnosis and
therapy of urinary system tumors, calculuses, and prostate,
adrenal gland, andriatrics and other complicated diseases, the
clinic has formed a series of characteristic treatment programs
for reconstruction of urinary bladder, urinary diversion, and
prostate diseases, which have reached the international advanced
level. In abdominoscope, urodynamic examination, new
transurethral electroresection, therapy of prostate hyperplasia,
congenital abnormality and diagnosis and therapy of urinary
system calculuses, the clinic has reached the advanced level in
China. It is one of the earliest clinics for renal
transplantation in Qingdao.
