该科是青岛骨关节外科与运动医学中心、山东省特色专科。重点研究和治疗各种关节创伤及风湿性疾病，已累计完成关节及近关节骨折内固定手术、肩、肘、腕、髋、膝、踝关节镜微创手术和髋、膝、肩人工关节置换手术5000余例。在关节镜微创治疗技术和运动创伤的治疗方面处于国内先进水平、在人工关节置换技术方面处于省内先进水平，是中华骨科分会关节镜外科学组和中华运动医学分会委员单位，承担2008年奥帆赛运动员保健项目。
学科带头人滕学仁，主任医师、教授、硕士研究生导师、青岛市专业技术拔尖人才、青岛市优秀临床医学专家。从事关节外科工作21年。擅长关节镜、人工关节置换、关节韧带重建、关节软骨移植等技术，对急慢性运动损伤、复杂的关节创伤、退行性关节炎、类风湿关节炎、肩周炎和股骨头缺血坏死等治疗经验丰富。
Qingdao Osteoarticular Surgery & Sports Medicine Center is a
specialty clinic in Shandong Province for the study and
treatment of joint wounds and rheumatic diseases. It has
completed operations on more than 5000 patients on internal
joint fixations and juxta-articular fractures, arthroscopic
minimally-invasive surgery of shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips,
knees and ankle joints, and prosthetic replacement of hips,
knees and shoulder joints. The center leads the country in the
field of minimally invasive arthroscopic treatment and athletic
injury treatment, and has reached the advanced level in the
province in prosthetic replacement of joints. It has become a
commission unit of the Arthroscopic Surgery Group of Chinese
Subcommittee on Orthopaedics and Chinese Subcommittee on Sports
Medicine. The center will be responsible for the medical care of
athletes during the Olympic sailing regatta in 2008.
